Beeldend Kunstenaar
Jacques Tange is opgeleid aan de academie voor beeldende
kunst in Rotterdam.
Het kenmerkende in zijn ontwikkeling is de constante lijn en
de steeds diepere evolutie.
Geďnspireerd door de verluchte handschriften van de
middeleeuwen, verwerkt hij hedendaagse thema's door middel van eigen
verbeeldingskracht en humor.
De ornamentiek en zijn bekende felle kleuren worden toegepast
met gebruik van zowel archetypen als metaforen.
Het is een opvallend gesloten wereld die we te zien krijgen.
De toepassing van het zachte licht van de intimiteit creëert een eigen sfeer. De
compositie is opgebouwd als een muziekstuk met herhalingen in een beeld en
ritmiek in de vlakverdeling.
Herkenbare thema's die regelmatig terugkeren in zijn werk
zijn met name : man - vrouw relatie, de stedelijke jungle en de isolatie van de
mens.
Jacques exposeert in binnen- en buitenland en is in 2003
benoemd tot meest veelbelovend kunstenaar van het jaar.
In 2005 is hij verkozen tot Kunstenaar van het Jaar !

Jacques Tange is educated at the Academy of Arts in
Rotterdam.
Continuity, and the repeating process of a deeper evaluation, are characteristic
elements in his development as an artist.
Inspired by the illuminated handwritings of the middle ages,
he uses his own imagination and humour in present-day themes.
The ornamentation and his typical use of bright colours are applied
with the use of archetypes and metaphors.
What's shown to us is a remarkably closed world.
The use of intimate, soft light creates a characteristic atmosphere.
Compositions are built up like a piece of music,
with repeating images and rythym in a certian lay-out.
Recognizable themes regulary return in his artistic
work about the relationship between man and woman.
The urban jungle and the isolation of the human being.
Tange has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, and has been
selected as “the most promising artist of the year,” in the Artist of the Year
Elections 2003 in the Netherlands. In 2005 he was selected as "Artist of the
Year"
